About Us:



Lori and Frank O’Brien have been in the Entertainment industry for over 25 years. Through their many years of performing at events, they acquired the knowledge and skills necessary to produce successful special events.

In 1999, Lori began working as an event planner and, in 2002, she and Frank were respected and established enough in the industry to form their own company, Atlanta Special Events, Inc.

Atlanta Special Events has grown rapidly since its inception, planning and producing events for companies such as Home Depot, Newell Rubbermaid, BB&T bank, Bellsouth, Hitachi Worldwide, State Farm Insurance, Morgan Stanley and 100’s more. This dynamic couple has established a trusted relationship with their many clients, vendors and talented entertainers resulting in one of Metro Atlanta’s most promising event corporations.

Atlanta Special Events’ reputation of Integrity, Professionalism and Exception Customer Service has earned two 2010 Consumers’ Choice Awards for Business Excellence in the categories of Event Planner and Casino Event Organizer.

Lori O’Brien, president

Lori is a dynamic businesswoman and entertainer with a BA double major in music and theater. Ms. O’Brien has sung for many prominent figures such as Secretary of State Colin Powell, Colonel Oliver North, Georgia Governors Sunny Perdue and George Busbee, Sean Hannity, Senators Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson to name a few. Lori has been a featured vocalist with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra and sings for events across the USA. She is a mentor, ambassador and Chairman’s Club member of the Gwinnett county Chamber of Commerce and has been nominated several times for the Small Business Person of the Year award. She is also a graduate of the prestigious Leadership Gwinnett.

Frank O’Brien, vice-president

Frank is the Primary DJ for Atlanta Special Events. He has an incredible talent for reading the crowd and keeping the party alive. His sound and lighting systems are top of the line and music selections are constantly kept current. Sweethearts since high school, Lori and Frank O’Brien make a great team in the events and entertainment industry. The backbone of Atlanta Special Events, Frank handles all operations and logistics of the company and keeps Lori under control!






Jim R., team building expert

In addition to being a Corporate Trainer and Coach with outstanding facilitation and communication skills, Jim has extensive experience in teambuilding, diversity training, and education. Additional service offerings are inclusive of leadership training, management development, and motivational speaking.









Terry, conference manager

Terry is an expert at meeting and conference management. Her expertise will ensure your conference will be smooth from beginning to end. Terry is also one of our casino vendors.
